Shatterhorn Summit – Leaderboard Event

UI/UX Design: Jiro Tamase | System and Mechanics: Kristopher Eidukas

Summary

Shatterhorn Summit is a PvP Leaderboard Event. Players will earn Medals based on the number of attempts it takes to complete a level. Each Medal has a corresponding point value that tallies into the player’s score, and at the end of the event players may earn a reward based on their leaderboard rank. Additionally, players may earn bonus prizes while the event is active by collecting specific amounts of Gold Medals from first-attempt wins.

Introduction Modal

The team has decided to adapt a 2-column design for this event to keep it from being bloated. Since it involves a lot of element; from medals, to chests, reward bags, and the character, there was a lot to go on. This modal provides some information needed to participate in the event. It should have a timer on how long the event will be run. This modal will only appear when the event starts.

Event Badge

The event badges are indicators for an active event. It also shows the user’s current status and rank for that particular event. For Shatterhorn Summit, it should show the user’s rank and the event timer. The badge has different states for the medals based on the user’s rank. Tapping the event badge will pop up the Leaderboard/Main Event modal.

Leaderboard/Main Modal

The leaderboard modal serves as the main event modal. It displays the Gold Medal Collection meta progress bar for this event (mentioned in the information modal) and the current leaders and the user’s current rank during the event. The information modal can be accessed by tapping the (i) button on the upper left corner.

Information Modal

This modal uses the same template as the introduction modal and is accessed by tapping the (i) button on the leaderboard modal. This modal was added just in case the user wants to see what the tiers are for the event, this modal shows all the information for it.

Leaderboard Modal

This modal shows current leaders and the user’s current rank in t he event. This modal is also animated in Unity.

Skeets’ Mad Dash – Win Streak Event

UI/UX Design: Jiro Tamase | System and Mechanics: Kristopher Eidukas

Summary

Skeet’s Mad Dash is a win streak event that provides user incentives in winning levels consecutively. These incentives are in the form of additional boosters in the level. It stacks with infinite pre-game boosters and/or pre-game boosters the users activate themselves. A each win (up to 3 tiers) will grant you the booster rewards. The user has to win consecutively to keep the booster rewards and a loss will lose you all of it.

Introduction and Event Main Modal

For this design, we opted to just make one design for the event modal with different states but it will still use the 2-column template where the hero image is on the left and information on the right. We decided to theme this one as a race and show the trophies as win states for the rewards, and the track to frame them to the right. This is current image is the event start state.
First win state
First win badge state.
Second consectutive win state.
Second consecutive win badge state.
